Edinburgh-born Nell has perfected and is pursuing her hobby of gourmet/cyclo touring as the best way to see and discover a country and its cuisine.

Her hobby has led to a fascinating career in food and travel writing, writing cookbooks and presenting her own very popular eight-part TV series The Woman Who Ate Scotland.
 

Iced berries with white chocolate sauce

Nell Nelson: Chef

Ingredients: serves 4

  • 400g white chocolate
  • 400ml double cream
  • 750g frozen red and blackberries

 
Method:

  1. Melt chocolate and double cream in a double boiler until molten.
  2. Take berries five minutes out of the freezer before serving and divide into four bowls. Pour hot white chocolate sauce over berries and serve.
