Oven poached plums

A simple ever so quick recipe that is really delicious and can use up lots of really ripe fruit. Allow about 3 or 4 plums per person. This recipe also works well if you have over-ripe apricots, apples or pears.

Ingredients: serves 4


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F / Gas Mark 5.
  2. Place the plums on an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the fruit is tender. Serve warm with Greek yoghurt or vanilla cream.

Recipe tips:

Try planning your fruit bowl around Scottish fruit in season, it tends to be fresher and tastier and often cheaper.
