I try to remember to check my fridge before going to the supermarket then make my list. Also, checking the back of the fridge and rearranging the items is a good idea so that they don't get left at the back and new stuff put in on top.

I always check the contents in my fridge before I shop . I then go on line to the BBC Food Recipes ( as I use them alot) and there you can type in upto 3 ingedients and get a recipe to use up your end of week perishable fresh food.

I check the fridge before I shop. If find items nearing their use by date I plan my next meal around them and buy complementary ingredients.
